Burt’s Bees is a favorite go-to toothpaste of mine. (I currently have a 4 pack of it in my linen closet.) I absolutely love this toothpaste and all the company encompasses. They care about the ingredients in their products, responsible sourcing, recyclable packaging, and of course no animal testing! If you have read any of my posts then you would know that cruelty-free is an important part of what I look for when buying my personal care products. It’s just as important to me as the ingredients I chose to use in/on my body/mouth! That being said, let me tell you a little more about Burt’s Bees Enamel Care Toothpaste.
I know some people are not on the same page with me when it comes to fluoride, and that’s your choice. Burt’s Bees offers toothpaste with or without fluoride which is nice. I obviously pick Enamel Care WITH Fluoride…in fact the ADA gave Burt’s Bees the stamp of approval. Look for this on the packaging, it will say…..ADA Accepted in a little square box. It’s not easy getting approval from the ADA so I like that about this product!
As I mentioned before Burt’s Bees does NOT Test on Animals! Other notable ingredients their toothpaste is made WITHOUT:
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (SLS)
- Triclosan
- Parabens
- Preservatives
- Plastic Microbeads
- Artificial Flavors & Sweeteners
- No Blue, Red, or Yellow Dyes
It may seem strange I mentioned these ingredient’s are not in Burt’s Bees toothpaste, and you probably never knew what is in toothpaste in the first place. (Future article coming soon) The “popular” toothpaste brands will have all or a majority of these unneeded ingredients in them! Go look at the toothpaste on your bathroom sink and you will see what I am talking about.
I use the Mountain Mint flavor and yes it is a paste NOT a gel! You can buy this online at https://www.burtsbees.com/oral-care/shop-all-oral-care/ , Amazon, and certain stores like Target, Walmart, BJ’s Wholesale, CVS, and Wegmans to name a few.
I hope you give Burt’s Bees Enamel Care toothpaste a try and let me know what you think with a comment below. I tell my patients about this brand and this specific toothpaste and so far I haven’t had any negative feedback.
Feel free and ask your dental provider if you want another opinion. I just want to help broaden your choices when it comes to affective oral care and as always…..
Hoping to start the conversation!
